One of the best feelings as a designer is when a client comes back years later for a refresh. I first built Jane Valken's online store eight years ago, so getting to partner with her again to envision its next chapter was a real treat.
Eight years is a lifetime on the internet. The original site we built was clean and served her brand beautifully, but the digital landscape and the way people shop have evolved so much. Our process was a great conversation about what was still core to her brand and what needed to be modernized. We focused on completely overhauling the user experience to be mobile-first, updating the visual style to feel fresh and current, while ensuring the soul of her brand remained intact.
